PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Ms. Sullivan has four years experience in the environmental and civil engineering fields. This experience includes numerous environmental sampling and evaluation projects, report writing and research, construction and environmental sampling oversight, and database development and management. With Vincent Uhl Associates, Inc., she has conducted surface-water and groundwater investigations, some involving low-flow sampling techniques. Ms. Sullivan has also conducted delineation and verification of soil remediation activities at a number of sites contaminated with mercury, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and benzo(a)pyrene.

Prior to joining Vincent Uhl Associates, Inc., Ms. Sullivan was involved in a large-scale, USEPA managed sampling and remediation project of a PCB contaminated river. Efforts to determine the extent of contamination involved riverbank soil, sediment, surface-water, and groundwater sampling. She led teams of sampling personnel and performed oversight of the responsible party’s contractor. She also researched and contributed sections of an Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis (EE/CA) report addressing potential remediation strategies for PCB contaminated soils and sediments, as well as river restoration techniques promoting erosion control and habitat restoration. Ms. Sullivan was also involved with groundwater and soil remediation projects utilizing soil vapor extraction, bioventing and air sparging.

She has worked on a major road construction project overseeing various crews and assisting the project engineer with day to day activities such as surveying and quality control testing and estimating. Ms. Sullivan also developed a database for a municipal solid waste landfill using a geographic information system (GIS) program.

In graduate school at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, she conducted research into aspects of recirculating sand filters which may be used in small-scale wastewater treatment applications. She modeled and analyzed the effects of altering flow rates, dosing frequencies, and grain size distribution on reaeration mechanisms in the sand filters to determine the most effective combination of those variables on system performance.

REPRESENTATIVE PROJECTS

Transco Gas Pipelines, PA - Collected and evaluated soil samples to determine extent of remediation required at nine gas metering and regulating facilities. Verified and documented the remedial contractor’s activities. Prepared the final remediation reports. Collected groundwaater samples as part of a quarterly monitoring program.

Montville Township MUA, NJ - Conducted surface-water and groundwater sampling and evaluation to determine potential effects of highway runoff on a groundwater recharge source. Stream flow measurements were performed periodically in order to evaluate seasonal fluctuations.

Elco, PA - Conducted sampling of monitoring/groundwater recovery wells to measure the performance of a dual-phase vapor-enhanced recovery (VER) system in terms of water quality.

|Solebury, PA - Evaluated aquifer sustainability and conducted groundwater eevation monitoring and stream flow measurements.

Big V Supermarkets, Baldwin Place, NY - Conducted groundwater elevation monitoring and flow analysis.

USEPA Pittsfield, MA - Performed soil, groundwater, surface-water, and sediment sampling for a river assessment and restoration project. Conducted oversight of the responsible parties contractor. Analyzed potential soil and sediment remediation alternatives, and river restoration alternatives that could be implemented following excavation.

USACE Aqua Tank, RI - Assisted with the start-up of a bioventing/air sparging remediation project. Performed injection well air sampling, system performance and system compliance sampling.

USACE Confidential Client, RI - Performed sampling, testing, and cost estimates for a pre-pilot soil vapor extraction system.
