
Uhl, Baron, Rana & Associates, Inc. (UBR) has conducted water resources development and environmental assessment projects in Africa; Asia; Europe, the Middle East and South America. The firm has managed large scale water resource development projects for water supply and irrigation provision in Africa and Asia over large and difficult project areas with project staffs of up to 50 persons.
Innovative and state-of-the-art exploration and development techniques have been applied in many project areas. For example in our Northern Botswana Groundwater Project, the firm utilized airborne geophysics to delineate optimal areas for exploration test drilling in a project area the size of Connecticut. In this same project, UBR professionals worked with local drilling contractors in the development of innovative drilling and well completion techniques that resulted in the doubling of well yields in the fine-grained Kalahari sand aquifers.
UBR provides assistance to governments and NGOs in appropriate equipment selection for drilling applications and pumping systems. The Firm has organized the purchase and shipment of drilling and other technical equipment to various parts of the world. UBR professionals have also managed water supply projects in drought stricken areas.
