LITIGATION SUPPORT SERVICES
AND EXPERT TESTIMONY
Uhl, Baron, Rana & Associates,
Inc. provides litigation support and expert testimony for municipal,
industrial, commercial, and private parties involved in water rights
and contamination matters. Principals of the firm have prepared
numerous technical documents, expert reports, and affidavits for
litigation purposes; given depositions and have provided expert courtroom
testimony and participated in technical/cost apportionment
settlement negotiations.
INTERNATIONAL SERVICES
UBR has completed many international water resource projects in
widespread parts of the world including Botswana, Lesotho, Nigeria,
Ethiopia, Somaliland, Ecuador, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Jordan,
Sri Lanka and the Caribbean. The firm has provided services
to international governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs),
USAID contractors, attorneys and private corporations. These
projects have involved large regional groundwater resource exploration
and water supply development; village and peri-urban area water supply
assessment and development of new water sources (groundwater and
springs); country-wide water resource quantity studies; water supply
system costing; well field management; and training in installing
and maintaining water meters, drilling applications, and other subjects.
The
firm has worked closely with a solar power firm in several countries
in evaluating the feasibility of and implementing this technology
for water supply systems. The principals of the firm act in advisory
and technical training capacities, and have mentored Engineers Without
Borders student groups involved in village water supply projects in
Cameroon.
